It's coming along...I guess:0)

What you ask? Her room. Yeah it's coming along I guess!!! I have sooooo much to do still but here are somethings I've done or been working on!

So this is the color that I first decided was going to go into her room. A nice Crisp Green from Benj. Moore. LOVED LOVED loved it in PotterybarnKids Catalog. It reminded me of a pretty garden and it looked soooo relaxing and girly. I even purchased a sample and it look great. Then it bought a whole gallon of it, did one wall and hated it! lol! It just looked neon...and then I didn't like the fact that it looked like I didn't even paint! I just can't commit to painting an entire room and at the end have it look like NOTHING....lol. So instead of taking it back I mixed this color with another green I had and got this color...

(sigh) much better..a nice sage green, not to dark not to light, girly, garden, and relaxing. So that just about all I've done so far! lol!

So checked off the list is:

• Her crib
• Half of the paint...lol
• Rocker-From the boys room
• Semi Table from HomeGoods
• Cute little girly dress stand..HomeGoods

Things I gots to do:

• Decide: Wainscotting or Ribbon Stencil
• Hang Chandilier- PoshTots had HER chandelier on sale for 50% off...guess who missed the sale?But I found one on Overstock.com that will do just fine:0)
• Crown Molding-anyone good at this?
• Hang Mirror-From my childhood! Mom saved it!
• Paint Dressers- Mom saved some from my room, gonna redo them!!!
• Finish Crib Skirt!!! Started but haven't finished-LOVE MY NEW SEWING MACHINE!!!!
• Order Bumper-Not sure still:0) lol
• Get another lamp and shade
• Hang curtain rods
• Pick out curtains..lol
• Nicknacks..picture frames,
• Decide on shelving
• Hang up shelving!

I am thinking I want everything done by the end of Jan! SO that way I can just wait for her to come! Wish me luck....wait who wants to come help?????!!!! lol!!!!

Messy Man Sandwich

It's a pretty normal night here at the Alfonso house...Reggie came home and started rolling on the floor with the boys and I started to make dinner. Not exciting but I think these are the times we love the most! I made Reggie his favorite sandwich by ME. I say that because he is a foodie and probably has different categories of favorites...lol...Favorites by Mom...Favorite by Wife...Favorites by MIL..Favorites by Fast Food...lol. Anyway I took some quick shots of his prepared meal... Cranked up my grill in the middle and threw on some steak and stuff...

Mixed it all together...don't worry HE will pick out all the green things! lol

Make sure he has some butter bread, toasted of course....

Pile on the meat and make sure you melt his cheese....he will love you extra for it.....

Then spread some mayo on the top and bottom( this is Reggie we're talking about) then smash it and make it look all smashed and stuff. Guys don't like a pretty sandwich:0)

Then to make him love you even more, make it a double....sit him in front of the BCS Championship Game and then give yourself a pat on the back, in his mind he can't even believe he has YOU as his wife. Now you can either watch the 115th bowl game in the last week OR sneak away and read...lol

I love normal days:0)

Some new house projects....

My chores aren't done but I decided to take a little break anyway:0) Besides I know its time to sit down when she starts kicking and I start contracting...so here I am. Two days in a row! WOW! I am on a roll! But anyway everyone knows a while back we moved into out second new home, which acutally kinda feels like our first because well, you know the housing market in Phoenix:0) So since the beginning I have been drawing up imaginary plans for each of the rooms. I have sooooo many ideas that if I let them sit in my head and don't get them down on paper, I WILL go crazy..not fun to see. But some how by the grace of GOD, an amazing hubby and some crazy deals the plans acutally come to realitly!!! lol!

Well I been wanting a chandelier over the breakfast nook since day one, but I really didn't know what I wanted it to look like. All I knew is that the builder special was just not doing it for me..lol. I went to Lowes and Home Depot and came back not wanting anything from there either. They have BEAUTIFUL lighting displays but everything was just a little to small or tooooooo fancy:0) So I went on the website OVERSTOCK.COM you know the place that ships anything and everthing for 2.95 or FREE! I started browsing and a real simple shaded chandiler caught my eye and I just knew I had to have it! The best thing it was very affordable and the right scale for my little nook! After going back and forth for about a month and a half between that one and another one...(you know I had to have SOMETHING to compare it to!) I finally put it on my Christmas list! That along with other housethings I needed, well wanted I guess:0)

Its funny how when you get older you start asking for neccessites instead of toys. I already had an Ipod ,cell phone,baking stuff and any other little gadget that was out:0) So I figured it would be fun to get house presents! Well Reggie did end up getting it for me for Christmas and I just can stop staring at it. It makes me so giddy. It's not fancy, but it makes the house just a little more special to me!!! Not only did he buy it but he also installed it for me!!! YEAH!

So here it is all hung! Like I said I love it...it makes me smile.

In the back you'll notice some other little projects I am working on.

Window Treatments....CAN'T decide between nautral shades like the ONE I have hung...lol. Or pretty shutters. One is way more expensive than the other! But I am in no rush. We have sun screen on all the window anyway!

Then you can see the curtains that me and my mom sewed up one day. I ran out of fabric so those aren't done either. The bad part is that I can't find the recipet that has the little numbers on it...I got the last of the fabric and they told me I could order more if I just brought it back in...YIKES..Lol

The last thing is my wall project that is JUST about done. Its called board and batten and I learned how to do it on the internet,of course! It goes just about 3/4s of the way up on my back wall and that to I ADORE! I so HEART any type of molding. You can't really find it in any Arizona home so once again making my house just a little different! I have a little shelf up thier to diplay frames and nicknacks...I got the big & sign at homegoods.... My mom is so confused by it. She was like why do you have that up there? & what?

Nesting and Bows

SO about 9 more weeks to go until our little girl makes her arrival! I've been in a complete nesting mind set for the last couple of weeks. I am list girl, so right now I have about 6 list going, including Baby Room, Gameroom,Living Room,Baby Shower, Hospital Bag, etc. I am trying to do one at a time but it seems like my mind just cant stay focused on just ONE project! I have to say this is actually very normal for me! Cant blame pregnancy for that one! Well my mind drifted off again back to making bows. I am a BIG fan a BIG BABY BOWS! lol! I just think they are sweet as can be and it makes it know that the baby your strolling around is actually a girl and not a boy dressed in pink...I say that because Bear gets mistaken as a girl ALL the time because of his beautiful curls! Even when he is wearing the same outfit as his brother! lol!!!

Anyway last weekend I went on over to my favorite, well not my FAVORITE but my convenient craft store Micheal's to start my ribbon project. I used my handy dandy EXTRA 25% of ribbon coupon and bought some clearance ribbon. Just about everything that has a yellow tag I grabbed! lol I got about 12 rolls of ribbon for 7.00 pretty cool!

I refrenced this helpful website to help me make them! GIRLYTHINGS. Seriously girls you can learn and do just about anything your little heart desires on the internet. That mixed with your very own creativity equals a product that YOU want and some saved money in your purse!!!

To use the bows I'm making right now I am going to attach an alligator clip onto the back of them and order some NYLON headbands from etsy.com. That way they are interchangable! I am not a big fan of the crochet ones. They ARE cute, but I just like the nylon look a little better!

I am also in the process of making some flower attachments TOO! Now talk about sweet! Nothing prettier than a girl with a flower in her hair! I will post some pictures later on that!!

Hello!!!

4 months later! and I'm back! As you last heard Reggie and I are expecting another baby and guess what it is!!! A GIRL!!! Yeah! I am so glad I got pregnant during girl season! lol! EVERYONE I know is have a little girl!!! Well you know how excited I am after having two amazing little guys! As soon as we were told the news I started thinking about her nursery. At first I wanted to do the traditional PINK....because well she is a girl. I wanted soft and feminie pretty and sweet sophisticated and luxurious all wraped up in one little bow! Don't get me wrong I still want all of those things but instead of going with PINK....which has taken me forever to make up my mind, I decided to go with the untraditonal colors, yet still girly of lilac and sage aka PURPLE AND GREEN! I thought that would be some what different and I would still be able to have all of those things I wanted in the room!! Check out some of the things I was thinking about....



This is the crib that we purchased for her 3 days after we found out what we were having! It the Stanley Isabella Crib by Young America! You can find it on PoshTots! I found mine on craigslist for a fraction of the cost and it was in PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT condition! What a steal!

PoshTots again! The color scheme is right on with what I want! The bummer is that this beautiful little hand made set is 800+ smackers! :-( I did find a place that I can have something like this made for about 300 though, which is still alot! Hey you never know, I might just have my mom help me tackle another sewing project...how hard could it be!?...lol

What is going ON!

I know your all wondering what the heck is going on with ME and my beloved BLOG! Gezz its like months between posts right!! Well for those who follow me on Facebook, you already know the good news! Reggie pregoed my eggo AGAIN! Baby number 3 is on thier way! Right now I am about 10 weeks and still sick as a DOG! Of course it happens right when we move into our new house so all my decorating plans have been put on hold and replaced with naps and unpacking a box a day!!! Between pregnancy hormones and two little guys running around my blog has been very neglected...and probably with continue to be...lol! I seriously dont think I have even picked up a camera for like a month! SOOOOO sad! But anyways I will try my best to update you as a continue to survive this pregnancy! You all know I am hoping for a GIRL....but we will see! Continue to sneek in a little prayer for all of us!

We're MOVING!!!

Has it really been a month since I updated my BLOG!!! I promised myself this would never happen! But life has been pretty busy around here! We found a house and now we are moving about 25 minutes closer to the rest of the world! I will have pictures soon I promise! But for now just imagine what it looks like! See ya soon!

Out bestest friends.....and family The Hankins have LEFT Arizona and moved to CALI!!! We knew the day would come when the military would move them..and the day has come and gone:0( At first it looked like it would be ITALY but then it changed to beautiful and sunny California! We are going to miss them sooooo much! But we can't wait to make some weekend trips up to visit them. They live right down the street from Magic Mountain....that area is BEAUTIFUL! Before they left we had a little farwell breakfast and then they were off! We have spent the last 4 Christmas's together, both of the boys births and of course BBQ and lazy Sundays! We even all got baptized together! Ontario out God son and Mikel in the back!
